This is a recent Ebay acquisition. It had been restored over 20 years ago but the paintwork is still excellent – thanks to Larry Eriksen who also sent me some photos of him touring with its former owner!  It was imported straight from BMW into England in 1938 so, as a German motorcycle, didn’t get requisitioned and has remained in original condition apart, unfortunately, from the carburettors. They should be Graetzin G24’s but it came with Amals (as in the photo) which even after ultrasound cleaning wouldn’t work properly and I have just fitted Chinese copies of the Graetzins but in 28mm (which is all that seems to be available now) so I am having to experiment with jetting etc.  Graetzins seem very scarce and cost c.3000€ a pair.
