Two members have been using their creative talents to make logos for us this month. We need these for going on the BMWAF's display flags as well as the merchandise which we're investigating producing.

First of all, Pete Dutton's impressive offerings:

and Ivan Payne's:

Thanks guys - without efforts like your The Airhead simply couldn't keep going.

For me I prefer Ivan's logos, no disrespect to Peter's logos

Well done to both!

Well done to all designers,my preference is the top one by Peter. It would make a nice belt buckle if the corporate logo wouldn't be a problem.

These two comments just sum up why we need as many people as possible helping to do these things. No one size fits all. Some people will prefer one to the other - and vice versa, but more to the point, some logos will fit some situations more than others. We need all four.

I've been snowed under withwork for The Airhead recently and I've not kept up with the website as much as I would have liked and ought to have done. The Subscribers' Bikes page is a good example. It is incredibly popular and receives a huge amount of hits but I've simply not had the time to keep it up to date.

All that has changed now. I'm over the moon to say that Adrian Jackson has ...

Just in case anyone hasn't spotted it - I've added a page to the website outlining the Land's End to John O'Groats Run we're organising. it's the last tab on the left of the page.
You don't need to be a member of the BMWAF to come along - everyone's welcome so long as you're coming along on a Classic or Vintage BMW. It's certainly not a British-only run either. At the moment we don't ...

Great news. The LEJOG is on! dates have yet to be finalized but it looks at the moment as thought The Airhead's motley crew will be leaving the Land's End hotel on July 4 to wend a scenic way up through the Welsh Borders, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands. Fantastic!

Following a really productive meeting with David and Paul from Moto-bins I'm delighted to say that The Airhead now has their support. Furthermore, they are giving a generous donation through us to the Air Ambulance. There are lots of things in the offing and everything is flexible but I'm happy that this is a liaison which will benefit us both. We're working now with three BMW companies whom I consider to be the best in ...

The Moto Bins system is working; I had one of your flyers in with my parts today and signed up straight away. First impressions are very good.
Keep up the great work!

I've now had confirmation from all the major insurers that members are eligible for their various club Discount schemes. Usually this constitutes a 10% discount off your insurance, so most people will find that being a subscriber to The Airhead will pay for itself immediately.

And can I subtly suggest that if you subscribe to another club at the moment just so that you can have an insurance dicount then perhaps you might consider switching your ...

One of our members, Ivan Payne, has volunteered to design a Display panel for us to use at Shows.

Ivan is a professional Graphics Designer - and isn't it obvious from what he has produced for us:

Simply stunning - a simple, clean and eye-catching display which will draw people to us. I couldn't be happier with it.
Thankyou Ivan

That is a beautiful design. As an aside, I recall the hoops that BMW Ltd made the BMW Club jump through with respect to their logo some years ago. There is nothing that might affect us in that way is there?

Following my last announcement that Carole Nash will now grant a discount to our members I've now got even better news. Members will now get 10% discountwith Carole Nash, Footman James and Peter James. I'm still waiting to hear back from Bennett's.

Members will be given a unique code to quote for Carole Nash. This will entitle them not only to the discount but also earn us £10 donation to the Air Ambulance. Shortly there ...

It's been a busy week. Our continuing growth has meant that we needed to address funding and other issues. To do that we needed to look at where we were going and what sort of organisation we wanted to be. With a staggering 80% of subscribers replying to my appeal for their views - and almost total unanimity amongst them - I can now proudly say that WE ARE NOT AND NEVER WILL BE A 'CLUB'.

Instead, ...

Apologies for being so remiss as to not keep this up to date recently. Holidays followed by masses of catching up to do resulted in the website being overlooked.

Subscribers to the Airhead know how we seem to be taking off at the moment. Success breeds success and our numbers now are far higher than I ever dreamt when I started this project back in May. It seems now that people who were reluctant to subscribe ...
