developed by BMWAF member and super-engineer Steve Scriminger, this
promise to increase engine output by 10% and delivers it right in the
middle of the rev range where we need it most. What's more it does this
without any increase in fuel consumption!
Steve's developed the
system over many years and gives an account of it in the next issue of

I'm Peter Ardron, British, and if my Father had had his way I would have been reared on oil, not milk. My dad rode Speedway and was obsessed with all types of motorbikes. He made me my first motorbike almost as soon as I could ride without stabilizers. Surprisingly I only ever broke a collar bone once whilst careering around the farm on a bike (often without brakes) throughout my childhood and teens.
Father also believed you weren't a real man unless you could strip and rebuild an engine at the roadside. Even as a young kid I often had to 'earn' my spending money by diagnosing faults he'd deliberately built into engines, or by stripping carbs, re-timing ignitions etc etc.
I loved it, but my wife says it's the reason I turned out so bloody odd!
I've been addicted to Airheads since my early teens and, though I've owned and loved K's, and had one or two other makes, there's rarely been a time in the past 40 years that I've not had an Airhead in the garage.
I started 'The Airhead' ezine because I think the provision for classic BMW riders in the U.K. is awful. There are thousands on the roads but no-one seems interested in catering for them.
So on the basis that, if others won't do it for us ,we'll just have to do it it for ourselves, 'The Airhead' was born!
